Ferry Disaster.
The Riverdance Ferry went ashore off the coast of Blackpool, North West England, on the 31st January 2008. Luckily it was a miserable day when I shot it ... it lay there like a massive injured whale ... I saw the geezer in the motor-scooter as he came up the prom and snapped him through the gaps in the derelict bus stop (see photo 4), then legged it over and managed to set up my tripod to catch him as he sped past (1 shot!) - great day out ... on the way back I got on the wrong bus and spent 45 mins zig-zagging through the streets of bungalows inhabited by OAPs - it was like being in a David Lynch advert for Stannah Stairlifts - i'm going back there soon to shoot them ... with a camera, of course.
